Transparency & Governance

Open books. Open doors.

We ask our community to trust us with their time, their dollars, and sometimes their hardest moments. We earn that trust by operating in the open. As we finish our incorporation and nonprofit filings, every governing document will be published here for anyone to read.

Questions

Frequently asked

How are donations used?

Once giving opens, donations will fund our three missions: community events and service projects in Manatee County, direct support for veterans and families in need, and youth mentorship and scholarships. Our annual financial report will show exactly where the money goes.

Who oversees the finances?

Our Treasurer manages the books under the oversight of the full Board of Directors. Spending follows the approval process in our bylaws, and financial reports are presented at board meetings.

Are donations tax-deductible?

Not yet. We're in the process of incorporating and applying for federal tax-exempt status, so we aren't accepting donations yet. We'll update this page as soon as our status is confirmed.

Can members attend board meetings?

Yes. Members in good standing are welcome at our regular board meetings, except for executive sessions on confidential matters such as individual assistance cases. Meeting dates are announced to members in advance.
